Antique Caucasian Kuba soumak rug in the classic pattern of indigo diamonds on a rust red ground. Woven in a larger than usual size, it is filled with twinkling “Crivelli Stars”, exotic heraldic shields, tribal talismans, and small animal figures. The main walnut brown border is a zig zag and rams horn design.

Materials: Hand woven (soumak technique) hand spun wool yarn on a wool foundation.
Condition: Good condition overall with small spots of wear to the soumak scattered throughout. A few very small old repairs. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
