Antique Persian Heriz Karaja Serapi rug with a glorious large scale design in a rarely seen colorway of blue-green slate, baby blue, charcoal blue, chocolate brown, pale celadon green, and cream, on a translucent vermilion ground. This beautiful example was hand knotted with glossy high mountain hand spun wool using all natural dyes. Complex gradation of the blues and greens was achieved by dyeing over natural grey and light brown wool. It’s as intriguing to appreciate up close, as it is to enjoy from a distance.

Condition: Good condition overall with low lustrous pile over most of the rug. Shows some scattered areas of wear as well. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
