Vintage Persian Tabriz Rug 9'7"x12'3'' Geometric Garden in Cream, Yellow Gold, Coral, and Blue
Rug No. 64526
Vintage Persian Tabriz rug with a stunning mosaic of hexagonal amulets floating on a background of small geometric motifs suggesting an abstract formal garden. It is a pattern akin to a small group of Northwest Persian Serab and Bakshaish rug designs of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The colors are lighter and much more beautiful in person with lustrous yellow gold, cream, cerulean blue, maroon, celadon green, coral, pale salmon, and coffee. This rare and unusual Tabriz is signed by the maker and features a finely hand knotted weave, glossy wool, and crisp clear natural dyes.
